Attention Drivers!

When driving in a city, or anywhere else for that matter, if there is a pedestrian in the crosswalk – that pedestrian has the right of way. If you think you have enough room to cut in front of said pedestrian, and by doing so get so close to the pedestrian that he (or she) is able to stoop slightly and hit the side of you car with the bottom of his (or her) closed fist as you drive, by then you were too close.

I can’t count how many times I have been walking thought a crosswalk, with a walk light, and had a car turning onto the street cut in front of me so close that I’ve had to stop or stutter step to keep from walking into the car. I resolved the last time that happened I would do something about it the next time. That time was today on my way back from the gym at lunch...
